All You Need Is Love

May 19, 2020

Valentine’s Day. You either love it or hate it. There's no in-between. This day of romance has truly divided us all into two categories:

1.    The hopeless romantics who make their VDay plans a month in advance and have no shame ugly crying to The Notebook or Love Actually

2.    Those who will be the first to remind you that Valentine’s Day is a “Hallmark Holiday” purely created for commercial purposes

So whether you secretly wish to live out a rom-com film or roll your eyes at the sight of teddy bears and chocolates, we can probably all agree on one thing: love is a beautiful feeling that should be celebrated and cherished. Whether you choose to do this on February 14th, your anniversary date, or just every damn day (god bless you folks), we are here to provide you with some ammunition to get the sparks flying!

This year Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday, which also happens to be the day before a federally recognized holiday – Presidents’ Day. So if you’re employed by a bank, school, mail service etc., by all means take this opportunity to celebrate Valentine’s Day on the true date of February 14th! For all the rest of us out there, we suggest booking your weekend getaway or STAYcation the Friday or Saturday before to ensure a full weekend dedicated to the love and appreciation of our significant others.

While booking your romantic getaway, be sure to include our Romance Package which is an additional $45 add-on. This will get you a bottle of our house champagne on ice (flutes included), an extravagant rose petal turndown, decadent chocolates, and a hand-written card. We suggest surprising your significant other with this in-room package as it makes the perfect gift for any celebration!

Looking to turn the surprise into a full weekend experience? Be sure to pre-reserve your table at our in-house restaurant, Café Whitney as they’ll be serving up a delicious three course specialty Valentine’s Day menu paired perfectly with wine options. With reduced occupancy on a high demand dining weekend, we suggest you book your reservation at least a week in advance: RESERVE NOW

Lastly, we suggest taking your time waking up in the morning and staying cozy in bed, complete with our Bed & Breakfast add-on. This add-on can be pre-booked at the time of your reservation for just an additional $20.
