Whitney Peak Hotel: Promise of Cleanliness

May 19, 2020

We understand the hesitation and concern regarding travel right now due to COVID-19. Due to those sensitivities, and out of caution for the safety of our staff and guests, we temporarily closed our doors between April 1 – May 17.

Our staff took this time to develop new safety procedures, thoroughly clean the property, and construct a plan for our re-opening that best aligns with the health and wellbeing of our community per the recommendations from the CDC. With that being said, it's extremely important to us that all guests have peace of mind when it comes to the sanitation and cleanliness standards here at Whitney Peak Hotel. While we have always strived to provide our guests with exceptional customer service and satisfaction, we recognize that now includes increasing our standards of cleanliness on and around the property.

Thus, we would like you to accept our Promise of Cleanliness, which is a compilation of our team’s plan of action to ensure the wellbeing of our guests. While on property, we encourage you to look for our Promise of Cleanliness Seal, which can be seen in public areas and on various pieces of collateral. Once again, this promise is a compilation of our plan of action and our way of portraying our dedication to you.

Please note a few of the changes and procedures that will be in effect until further notice:

SANITATION

You will find a hand sanitizer station in the hotel lobby as well as gloves and hand sanitizer next to the lobby elevators. All staff will be wearing face masks as well as maintaining 6-feet of social distance.

Elevators have been treated with electrostatic disinfection.

All collateral has been removed from rooms and lobby.

There will be no stayover service. Please contact the front desk for immediate needs i.e. trash or towel service.

Keycards are disinfected under UV light after each use.

FRONT DESK & CHECK-IN

We have installed plexiglass sneeze guards at the front desk temporarily to ensure the check in process is safe and efficient. Additionally, we are preparing the property for the installment and usage of the new Openkey software, to allow virtual check in and access to your hotel room via your cell phone. We are hoping to begin using this software by the end of June 2020.

MEETINGS & EVENTS

We will be strictly following all guidelines from the CDC and health department, including the suspension of any self-service food stations (buffets, coffee stations, etc). Our sales, meetings, and banquets team will work with all clients on modifying event setups to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Food service and preparation will be modified as well to fall within new guidelines set forth. Sanitization stations will be available in the meeting space areas and all tables, linens, glassware, silverware, etc. will be properly sanitized after and or during each event. All banquet and event staff will follow guidelines set forth by the CDC including required PPE.

Thank you for your patience as we adapt and navigate these post-pandemic times together. We look forward to seeing you at Whitney Peak Hotel again soon!
